Cat Beds and Cat Mats

Round Beds

I wash and dry all the fabrics before construction to prevent shrinkage. I use a serger during construction of this bed to prevent the fabric from fraying. These cat beds include a cushion that I make from khaki cotton and stuffed with plenty of fresh polyester fiberfill.

The top and bottom each measure 19.5 inches across (49.53 cm) and the side is 4 inches deep (10.16 cm). A woven The Cat Farm label is sewn onto the side panel.

This bed is sized so even large kitties can nap comfortably. Small to average size cats can double up and share a bed, as ours sometimes do!

Vacuuming the bed with an upholstery attachment will remove loose hair and keep the bed clean. In case of a mess up the cover has a zipper so you can remove it for laundering. It can be washed in cold water and dried in a dryer. If needed, a steam iron can be used to smooth out wrinkles, taking care not to touch the zipper.

Cat Mats

In our house, we use cat mats in favorite areas where our kitties like to sleep. It gives them a surface to call their own while also doing double duty to collect loose hair.

This mat measures 18 inches by 20 inches (45.72 cm by 50.8 cm). It is sized to accommodate pretty much all sizes of cats and works well to pad a cat carrier too.

This cat mat may be machine washed in cold water. Tumble dry low. You can also remove loose hair with a lint roller or an upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner.
